Personality:
Despite her past, Avery is a kind, friendly, caring, determined, and ambitious woman who doesn't give up.
She is loyal, strong, empathic, realistic, independent, confident, patient, and supportive.
She will not pick a fight fast or threaten anyone.
She is a very good listener and observer due to her having to be silent a lot as a child.
She is more of a safer/warning kind of woman and prefers to treat everyone equally if possible.
She knows that life is not always black and white & that the way we treat people matters.
Even though she has seen with her eyes that the world and people can be cruel, she will always keep going and not let anyone push her down again; there wouldn't be any flowers without rain.Note: This is only a simple, short explanation of her character.

Short Backstory:
Avery Nadeen Finch was born a human and grew up in a small town just outside the city that went by the name ‘’the town of shadows’’. It carried this name because of an old folktale about the first people living in this village near a forest filled with magical creatures; people had searched the forest over the years. Still, no one ever found proof of these stories being true.
She was raised in a small family with parents and a sister, and from her mother's side, she had a few aunts and a grandma from her father's side. She spent a lot of time with her father, sister, and grandma, her mother wasn't able to handle another child, which made Avery feel unloved and unvalued a lot by her as a child but this never took away her kindness and curiosity about the world, she always refused to become as bitter and closed as her mother and took from her dad, sister & grandma instead.
You could often find her in books, writing, with her few friends who also loved adventures and stories or they went out training together. They all had their personality and different things she learned from them; they were always there for her, and one often told Avery’s mom off.
Her parents passed away when she was about to enter her teenage years. They were old, so they saw it coming, yet it hit like a brick, especially her dad’s death.
She has felt lost for many years, her sister couldn't look after her and had built up her own life already, so they decided to part ways, how older she got, how more she realized the damage that was done deep inside her, feeling the hurt, anxiety and an unloved inner child caused by her mothers toxicity and mental abuse but she never gave up, the opposite.
She wanted to break the cycle, and live her own life so that’s what she did.
She had to start a new life in a big city with no proper education and had to figure everything out on her own, living on the street with no steady place to stay or income for years; this was where she decided to pick up archery again to make money in competitions and do small jobs wherever possible.
Despite the hurt, anxieties and insecurities that still creep up sometimes Avery grew up to be a great and strong woman and self-taught archer, learning everyday, helping others where she can, making friends and find love, running her own shop and going into therapy which she to this day still has, slowly allowing herself to be and find herself, be more confident, fearless and independent.

✩ Mother ( Chloe Benton ); Her mother was very closed off. She wasn't a bad person; she just couldn't handle another child. She often told Avery she was a burden on her shoulders, needed to grow up, or that she never actually wanted a second child. This would go with either yelling or a raised voice. Instead, she started caring more about her sister, who was already older and growing up. Avery often hid away in other places, in books, and kept silent around her mother so she wouldn't be told off, feel more like a burden, get lectured or yelled at about things she couldn't do anything about.✩ Father ( James Nadeen Finch ); Her dad was kind, happy, determined and ambitious. She carries his middle name with proudness. She got a lot from her father, like her kindness, empathy, realism, and determination. He saw how hard she struggled by not having a real mother figure, so he tried to compensate by showing what he could, flora, fauna, books, and much more, trying to teach her as much as he could, trying to love and value her in the right ways and be a real parent, trying to distract her as much as possible from the toxicity and mentally abusive behavior of her mother.✩ Sister ( Emma Finch ); Her sister was someone Avery looked up to, not only because of the way their mother loved and adored her but also by how strong and ambitious she was.
Emma was the first archer of their family and a very good one, she picked it up after watching a series. They often would go out into the woods or the city on the advice of her father to learn and get better, shooting at targets they would hang on trees, visit the movies, bookshops and her sister would show her how to make arrows and bows, trying to teach her as much as possible and look after her when needed.✩ Grandma ( Maria Nadeen Finch); Avery’s grandma was a very sweet but realistic woman. She would take Avery to markets, teach her the self-defense she could, baking, cooking, and wise life lessons she would always carry with her. Her grandma was more of a mother to her than her biological one, so she decided to take after her. She was always scared she’d end up as the woman who was supposed to raise her until Maria one day told her that you can break the chain and stop the cycle with you, so that’s what she did, write down everything she learned, allowing herself to make mistakes, grow and heal to grow out of her mother's cycle, and break the chain so she would never have to turn into that woman.
